Jean-Bertrand
de Lartigue (JB)
JB is Chief Executive of MA Consulting and has enjoyed a successful
career as an Entrepreneur, a General Manager and Finance Director in
international business. In the last 7 Years as the HR2all limited
chairman he has provided HR support to SME’s. With over 22 years
experience with Motorola in 5 different countries, he has an exemplary
track record of managing a team of up to 350 people during a time of
change. A strategic and visionary thinker, JB is able to provide clear
leadership and to develop individuals and teams of people to achieve
beyond their expectations. JB has extensive understanding of the SME
business in the UK and the political environment in Wales.

Judith Kiely Chartered FCIPD
has more than twenty-five years’ experience of strategic and
operational human resources management in both the industrial and
public sectors within the UK and Europe. After eight years with UK and
German subsidiaries of US manufacturing companies (Honeywell Control
Systems, Chicogo Cosmetic GmbH and Ascom), she spent four-and-a-half
years with NHS in Wales, attaining the position of Assistant Director
of Personnel within Cardiff Community Healthcare NHS Trust. Judith
established Carpe Diem HR Solutions (now Carpe Diem Human Resources
Limited) in 1999, primarily with the aim of assisting SMEs in setting
up their HR function and advising on the introduction of ‘best
practice’ initiatives. Judith has worked as a freelance HR Specialist
assisting a number of local authorities on behalf of the Wales Audit
Office and, until recently, was an Assessor for the Welsh Assembly
Government’s Health At Work (Corporate Health Standard). She was also a
Business Advisor with the Welsh Assembly Government’s SME Equality
Project from January 2002 to the cessation of the Project at the end of
August 2008. In 1998, Judith was appointed as an Employment Tribunal
Member and also sits as an Independent Member on the South Wales Police
Misconduct Panel. Earlier this year she was appointed as a Lay Race
Assessor in the County Courts.
Qualifications: An HR Generalist, with expertise in Occupational
Testing, TUPE transfers, Redundancy, Recruitment and Selection, Job
Evaluation, Career Counselling, Disciplinary Issues and Absence
Management, Judith has a Diploma in Business Administration from the
University of Wales. A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel and Development, she chaired the South East Wales CIPD Branch
from 2001 to 2003. In 2009, Judith trained as a mediator through the
Arbitration, Conciliation and Advisory Service (ACAS).
Mandy Withers
Prior to starting her own Human Resources & Training Consultancy in
2005, Mandy had over ten years experience in HR and training roles. She
has managed HR functions within the manufacturing sector and has been
involved in many types of projects ranging from developing Job
Evaluation Schemes, Performance Management Schemes, Tupe, redundancy
handling and developing the role and skills of Works Councils. She was
instrumental in the roll out of an ERP system for a company that had
undergone a huge cultural change. The workforce decreased from 450 to
150 employees over a three year period and Mandy was involved in the
closure of one of it’s subsidiaries, project managing the transfer of
the technology and business to a sister company in Cambridgeshire.
Also, she was the co-ordinator in the crisis management and disaster
recovery plan for a Dutch FMCG company in 2005, which suffered a
company fire and eventually resulted in a closure and 150 job loss six
months later. In 2007, she project managed the Burberry closure in
South Wales, which resulted in 310 job losses. Talk HR Solutions were
involved in the resettlement of the workers into new roles during the
project. Mandy was also involved in the closure of Carrington Wire at
the end of 2008 and again resettling the workers.
She has worked in both private and public sectors including Pharma, NHS, Education, FMCG and Construction.
